In the second Mishnah of Pirkei Avot (the
wisdom of our ancestors), Rabbi Shimon
Ha-Tzaddik teaches: The world rests on
three things - on Torah, on service of
God, and on acts of loving kindness.
The Mishnah describes a well-rounded
Jew, a healthy Jew who fortifies
him/herself with the laws and teachings
of the Torah, who seeks a relationship
with God through prayer and study, and
who is attentive to the needs of the community.
These three pillars of Judaism
capture the focal points of Beth El
Synagogue’s many opportunities.
You’re invited to take part in
our diverse educational programs, our
prayer services, and the mitzvot that we
perform in the community. Together,
we will build a better world.
