Opportunities Guide - Adult Education

This year at Beth El, our program of adult education offers variety as well as depth. There are classes on introductory levels in Hebrew, prayer and basic Judaism. Whether you are interested in ancient texts or modern dilemmas, whether you prefer intimate classes or larger lectures, there is something for you in this year’s adult education program.

Adult B’nai Mitzvah Class
This is a two-year program of study for adult Beth El members culminating in a group bar/bat mitzvah ceremony on the first day of Shavu’ot. The study includes Hebrew reading; the history, structure, and content of the Siddur; classical text study; and those synagogue skills involved in conducting Shavu’ot services. A new two-year cycle of study will begin in the fall of 2008. A minimum of twelve participants will be necessary for this program. For more information, please contact Cantor Abrams at 952-920-3512, ext. 109 or via e-mail.
