Youth Department

Beth El Rishon United Synagogue Youth (BERUSY), an award-winning chapter of United Synagogue Youth (USY), offers our youth (grades 5-12) a variety of social as well as educational and religious experiences. USY had its national beginnings here at Beth El and is a vital part of our Synagogue today.

Our Youth Department offers the following groups:

B’resheet

For 5th and 6th graders. This group gives our 5th and 6th graders a taste of the Jewish youth group experience. Programs take place from September to May, and are usually on Sunday. Participants enjoy a variety of social programs both inside and outside the synagogue.

A wide variety of programs are held once a month. Kadimaniks are invited to attend the regional Kadima Kinnus held in March and are also invited to participate in USY Dinner Theater!
