Feeding the Hungry

Holiday Meals/Greater Lake Country Food Bank
Help deliver and serve Christmas and Easter meals to 800 people at low income and senior housing sites alongside volunteers from other synagogues. Co-chairs: Karen Rubin & Wendy Bloom
Ronald McDonald House
This is a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Be a part of this supportive, caring effort and join Beth El volunteers once a month by providing a brunch to the families staying at the facility. Volunteers may choose to make their contribution at home and bring to the synagogue or help serve at the House. Co-chairs: Margie Goldfine, Mari Stein & Debbie Pavelka.
Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is committed to feeding starving children around the world. Join other Beth El volunteers every other month to hand-pack nutritious meals specially formulated for starving children. FMSC then partners with relief organizations worldwide to distribute these meals to more than 60 countries around the world. Chair: Jane Polansky
Loaves and Fishes
Cook and serve a meal every other month for 300-350 poor and homeless guests at the Loaves and Fishes soup kitchen. Help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere with volunteers from three other congregations. Chair: Diana Rosen
